Talking to Oz74 about the Kiseki series kind of made me go down the memory lane a bit regarding gachas. I had undusted the Langrisser Mobile app sitting around being unused for a very long time. Not because I lost interest, but I simply didn't have the time to sink into it. And I've thought about a few of these type of games I've played up to this point.
What gachas have you played, and did you get any enjoyment out of them? My first was Fire Emblem Heroes, and that was my introduction to these type of games. However, that game had severe issues I could no longer look past, and I eventually dropped it. I ended up picking up Fate/Grand Order because I'm a huge Fate series nerd. (I mean, why else do I have a Caster icon next to my name and the pfp of a Caster class servant?) And I still play Fate/Grand Order, even to this day, only this time, I've been mostly spending my time on the JP Server. At the same time, I was also playing Langrisser Mobile with my friends, but due to the lack of free time, and circumstance, we all stopped playing altogether. I've just recently came back to it. Who knows how long I'll play, though. My time is limited, and it's only a matter of time before I'll have to make another tough decision. |

Posted by Hiryuu Yeah, the gacha system for FGO ain't great, and even with the adjustments they've been making to it, it's still not enough to make it actually a good system. I've been mostly sticking with this game because of my aformentioned affinity, but I have never done any real life splurging on it. In fact, outside of FE Heroes, where I did spend a little and instantly regretted it, I have never spent a single real life cent on these gachas. I know how predatory they are. |

Posted by Hiryuu And I'd imagine you've probably caught wind that Space Ereshkigal is now a thing. I currently have her at NP2 Lv100. Eventually, I will have her NP6 Lv120. I'm a huge Eresh simp. Let's see if that promise holds before I quit the game, or before the game gets EOS'd. xD
This is probably the first time I've heard of PangYa. I took a look at the video, and while the game certainly looks impressive, it's probably not the type of game I'd play, haha. |

Posted by Oz74 Oop. Good luck with Brightsummoner. I'm also going to pull for her -- once I get my hands on Eshean. I currently have her and Elwin on the returning Oathsworn Summon banner. I have Elwin at 6-star 100 shards so I can farm Spacetime Essence as a worst case scenario. Storywise, I think I'm still in the 2nd continent. I've gotten really lazy over the years, but I'm slowly trying to rectify this -- I'm finally working on my Time Rifts, having done Time Rift 14 and Time Rift 15. I've neglected these long enough and it's time I finally do something. |

Posted by HiryuuPosted by star_scream1646 That makes both of us. Though I didn't listen to their work until I was 13. As for what I just finished listening to? An old classic. If you recognize this tune, then I offer my condolences. I, too, was stuck in this dungeon for a very long time. |

Posted by Guysons667 Some of the stuff you can do in that game is hilariously busted. Fixed Dice/Valiant Knife + Offering, X-Magic Ultima + Quick, Flame Shield Merton, Ragnarok/Illumina, and espers giving you stat boosts per levelup are among just a few things. Even without all of that, though, wasn't that difficult. (If anything I found his third phase more difficult than Kefka himself)
I can't wait for that. I am also looking into the Sound Restoration patch for FFVI GBA, as to me, if it wasn't for the butchered soundtrack the GBA version has, FFVI GBA would be the definitive way to play FFVI. Also, I always recommend you to play and complete Super Mario RPG. It's an experience you don't want to miss out on. As for me, currently sitting on what to play. I'm playing Langrisser Mobile, but other than that, I might go do a Final Fantasy VI World's Collide run. It's been a while since I've done that, and I feel like being OP again, lol. Gotta hope for an early Ragnarok or something. |

Posted by Galeforce I swear, you can't script this if you tried. I just finished a FFVI Worlds Collide randomizer. I wasn't even trying to dumpster dive through seeds just to get an early Ragnarok run. I just happened to have accidently ran into one on the first seed I played today. Incredibly hilarious. Posted by Oz74Posted by GaleforceDO IT. I have been playing it on cart on a GBA SP with an IPS screen and the experience is bar-none the best FF6 playthrough I've had. The colors also match the SNES. Just don't play it on a stock GBA though since it will be really dark. If I still had a GBA, or a DS Lite that hasn't broken down from old age, I definitely would look into getting a GBA flash cart. Sadly, I have neither, so I can only... plunder the seas, to play this, for now. Posted by Oz74 Absolutely will. I usually get on around one of 2 different time points. 3-5pm EST and 3-5am EST. Sometimes I get on around both times, book-ending my day. If I get on during the day, I have the energy to churn through story-related content and other things. If during the night, I'm probably sweeping my dailies because I'm closing in on the time I'm usually heading to sleep. So if there's anything we can do, let me know. |

Posted by Oz74 Redirecting from the Currently Playing thread to avoid clutter there. :> I'm still working on my Aniki training, so we could run those. I haven't turned on my Continuous Battle yet. I have Lancer Training and Magician Training heavily invested into, both of them have 80% to all stats. But the rest could use work, especially in HP, Def, and MDef (all classes has at least 70% attack) I also, admittedly, haven't done any Joint Battles since returning; Primarily because I haven't had the opportunity to. I usually get on too late for the first one, and the second one is during my active hours, which I often spend with my friends on other games. Speaking of new events, I did peruse the link you sent me. None of the event characters interest me enough to want to pull for them, and the other banners have characters that I would've pulled for if I didn't already have them. More copies would be nice, but I'm laser-focused on getting Eshean and then Brightsummoner, if I can. I have a mostly-princess box, so those are my priorities. Feels good to not have to pull for a limited character at least, though. FOMO never feels good. Just ask about my time playing MMORPGs, ahahaha. |

Dang it, Rin. Stop reminding me how old I am. I normally play this during my dead time, when I'm not talking to anyone and I'm focused on grinding some games. I have some other 30+ min extensions, but this is usually my first go-to. This song does a good job at giving me some good adrenaline. |

I've been keeping an eye on this since its release on SMWCentral, and I must say I'm interested. One of these days, I'll be trying the Hard Mode run once I get some spare time. I'm curious to see the changes with Hard Mode. |

Hell yeah, FGO. I haven't even tapped into Lostbelt 6's music just yet recently, so this is only the beginning for me. :>
For now though, I'm going to enjoy BoFIII's boss battle theme while I work on my dailies. |

I still hold on to my firm opinion that, if Nintendo were to actually take game preservation seriously, there would be no justifiable reason for people to put on a pirate hat, and plunder their chests. But as it is, this is where we're at.
I do agree that releasing current-gen emulation to the public is a bad idea, though. Doing that, the developers are straight up begging to be C&D'd by Nintendo. And while this wasn't a typical C&D on Ryujinx, it effectively is in this case. I do have to wonder though... people have been doing current gen emulating since the Wii U days. Why did Nintendo choose to crack down now, instead of then? |

I'm just hoping this site is here to stick. I do enjoy having an old-school forum to go to in order to spend my free time. It really takes me back to the ezboard days.
...ezboard? Man, I'm old. Posted by Yuri Bacon I've been very much against social media since the very start, TBH. The only reason I use Discord is because I view Discord as a straight up replacement for Skype. Twitter, I know for sure, I cannot stand. I try to avoid interaction on it, if it can be avoided. |

Just started on a FFV Career Day FJF chaos randomizer. My party setup seems like it might have potential. Neo Exdeath might be a problem, though. Gonna have to hope I luck into a Magic Lamp along the way. |

I have some of those bad habits, myself. In fact, I've had them since my high school days. That's 20 years of having questionable sleeping habits. I'm trying to curb back on sleeping too late, but sometimes I find myself going to sleep at 8-9am on some days anyways.
Least I'm taking it a little more seriously these days than not taking it seriously at all. But yeah, I'm of the opinion that Twitter was a mistake. Before Twitter, I was also of the opinion that Tumblr was a mistake. The community those two have cultivated have left me nostalgic for the good ol' messageboard days... |

https://emberling.github.io/legacy/sd3_tension.spc
Trials of Mana - High Tension Wire I don't know where I can find a video for this, but I was listening to this for a good bit. Was going to have this playing while doing some Langrisser Mobile content, but that ended up not happening. Couldn't find the corresponding video for this post, so an SPC file will have to do. EDIT: If you don't want to open this in your SPC player, you could use this site and search "High Tension Wire". That site has a built-in SPC player. https://emberling.github.io/legacy/ |

Ahaha... AHAHAHAHA... No way. That's Nero Claudius!?
That's impressive. I'd be inclined to check this out, but racing games are no longer my thing anymore. I'm interested to see what else this game has. In particular, the mods. My curiosity is at peak value right now. |

Posted by HiryuuPosted by Galeforce I knew I recognized that name somewhere. I haven't done any interaction with Teyla since leaving SMWCentral, sadly. Haha. Posted by Hiryuu Those are all something I'll have to seek out videos for. I might end up putting it on the "I'll play this after I finish these games first" list, but I probably won't be cracking any leaderboards anytime too. xD |
