Cat Zelda. Everyone Hylian is a cat. Moblins are dogs. Zoras stay the same because they're fish people.

Also lightbulbsun made a special hack for me back on the old RHDN site for the game Zombies Ate My Neighbors on SNES that corrected the colors for Purple Tentacle in the bonus level, Day of The Tentacle. I have the GitHub link he gave me for it too. https://github.com/lightbulb-sun/zombies-tentacle He posted it on Janurary 9, 2024.

Would love to see a simple hack that addresses what I think is the biggest problem in Chrono Trigger: the way your magic defense stat easily gets to 100 / ** at the end of the game and causes all enemy magic to do tiny amounts of damage. Big, epic spells that Lavos casts end up doing low 2 digits at most. It feels very off. I'm not sure if adjusting character stat growth or equipment magic defense values would be the best way to go, or if a more extensive rewrite of the magic defense formula is in order.

My hack idea/request is a graphical mod of Arcana for SNES where all the playable female characters have their hair up in ponytails.

I could be mistaken but I think someone ask this same thing on RHDN for Arcana.

My personal hack idea/request is a color restoration for the DS version of Chrono Trigger to return the color palettes to the SNES version's. Not the highest quality picture example, but it should serve well enough. Not exactly pressing, but I know a decent few people who would prefer it.

That someone who brought that inspiration was me. Unfortunately, I don't draw people, locations or things well without a reference, so I was hoping there are skilled artists who have the smarts to copy off of a famous illustrator's artstyle i.e. Mike Judge and Bengus.:)

Ah...that was you. I just checked on RHDN. Im no artist ether but I wish I was. I can kinda chop other sprites up to make new ones but I cant make anything from scratch. I made my profile gif in what I call my chop shop and its made from multiple enemies from mega man x. One day Ill finish it and bring it to life in mmx.

a fun attempt unless its already done would be to build the loz ancient stone tablet weeks into 1 full rom, that way instead of getting to the end of a week and having to rename the sram file to the next week it would just flow into the next game... think there are some carts that got incredibly unique to get all 4 roms into one cart

Game: Donkey Kong
Platform: ColecoVision
Requests: Freeze Timer While Intro Song Plays and When Mario Dies

Same as in the NES version, I wish that the ColecoVision version of Donkey Kong would have the timer freeze (meaning timer doesn't tick and DK doesn't roll his barrels yet/no Firefoxes appearing yet on the rivets board/no moving elevators yet on the elevators board) until the intro song ends (all on-screen action does freeze whenever Mario dies). Why? In the original 24K ROM cart, at least, the bonus timer ticks for exactly one tick before the intro song finishes, while in the 16K ROM update the timer's appearance is delayed until the intro song ends.

Also, whenever the timer warning plays (less than 10 seconds left on the timer), in both the 24K and 16K carts the main BG music is still heard, but what I want to do is fix it so only the warning sound is heard (same as in the arcade original and the NES version). What the later 16K version did get right was that the BG music stopped whenever Mario lost a life.

This is one of my favorite Shmups on this system. It never came out in the US, but in Japan and Europe. So many have missed out on this cool game.

Game: Over Horizon
Platform: NES / Famicom
Request: Several improvements

* Sound: One thing that always bugged me is the Soundtrack while shooting or other effects are played, will cutoff parts of the music track. I don't know if its possible, but I wish someone would make this game playable without the music layer cutoff.
* Performance: The game itself has some terrible slowdowns. While this can be mitigated with emulator settings, it would be cool if the game get a patch like the SNES Fastrom patches, if possible.
* Battery Save: To save settings and formation of custom weapon and options.

Edit: Removed bonus requests. I felt too greedy.

so had a fun request for a rom hack here 2 of em in fact, mmpr and mmpr the movie on the snes, fix there helmets and if possible fix there bodies too, its a bit disorenting when your one of the girl rangers and they go from civilian form to looking like a body builder with a bit strange parts, that and if possible maybe add kimberly's skirt to her ranger outfit... thinking like the genesis suits and more body accurate and helmet accurate rangers

Final Fantasy Legend 3 for game boy - an improvement hack that skips a majority of the in battle text other than informing the player about inflicted status effects. Would dramatically improve the flow of battles

I'd like to see a revamp of Mega Man X6 (probably X5, too). I know there's a QoL patch for it, but it doesn't change the level design much, nor does it localize the Mavericks' names or add English voice acting. Adding a save system to a lot of games that don't have one would also be good. And I'd like to see Crash Bandicoot hacking become more viable. Maybe someone could revamp Wrath of Cortex to have better levels and loading times. I'm also always up for more GOOD Super Mario World hacks, but what I'd really like to see is more hacks that are ambitious but accessible. I don't need more Kaizo or even just plain difficult hacks, and I don't need more vanilla or "choconilla" ones; I'd just like to see something with nice graphics and music and reasonable difficulty that feels like Nintendo would have made it, maybe like if they'd made a direct sequel to Super Mario World circa 1994 after having more experience with the SNES.

The only update i want for Mega Man X5 is to turn down the volume of the dialogue box noise. >_< Geez is that sound obnoxiously loud!!!
