Name is Star_scream1646. Don’t really do any type of romhacking (mainly lurk), but I appreciate everything that romhackers have done for the retro gaming community over the years. Such as fan translations, QoL/Improvement hacks, and bug fixes and many more. So thank you all for what you all do, and to NinCollin for this new site! |

To me it would be the AV Famicom! Love the look of it, and how unlike the NES Toploader that has the “hump” and RF only I love the flat top look of the console. And that it is AV after all.

Just a thread if any of you want to share what game (or games) you are currently playing.
I've been playing Super Mario RPG: Relocalized by CoolCatBomberMan. I'll admit it felt strange playing it at first since I'm so used to the original translation, but it's really grown on me. Currently on my way to get the 6th Star, so almost at the end. |

My Wife and I had been watching Resident Alien, now just waiting on season 4. She is currently watching the Good Doctor. I was watching the Orville, but finished it and hoping for a 4th season. Thinking now of rewatching the Alien films (minus AVP 1 and 2) I’ve only ever seen Alien, Aliens, 3, Resurrection and Prometheus. Never seen Covenant and I haven’t gone to see Romulus. |

I always thought the reason for the “hump” on the top loader, was more to avoid the use of the Famicom Disk System Adaptor from anyone who somehow would manage to get it to work on the Top loader. But than again there was the difference in pins, so I guess even it the top loader was flat it wouldn’t have mattered. Since the adaptor would have sat high even with a FC to NES converter.
Also there was a way to get better picture out of the top loader without any mods on a crt, it did require the use of a VCR. Tried it myself few years back and it was nice getting a better picture and less noticeable jail bars. |

Was listening to The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails, yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the album's release. Still feels like it came out yesterday to me. |

So still have not finished Super Mario RPG  , been having a hard time finishing RPGs the last 3 years. I’ll invest hours into one, and just randomly stop. Playing Mario RPG is the closest I’ve come to finally beating an RPG again. But I do plan on beating it since I’m so close.
Anyways, ever since Apple allowed emulators to be on the App Store, I started playing Snatcher on my phone. Beaten it before so I am familiar with the game, but it’s been nice to revisit the world of Snatcher after a decade. After Snatcher I plan to finally play Policenauts. |
