I'm UlticraftMTT (he/him), or Carter IRL. I'm your semi-average goth femboy from the Midwest US who doesn't actually make ROM hacks, I just like to lurk around boards and reply if it catches my interest. I never really posted in the original RHDN forums but I was registered there.

The primary notable thing I made at one point was a mod for the Mega Man fangame Mega Man Maker, called "Mega Man Maker Plus".

When it comes to my favorite ROM hacks, my favorites are probably Himajin Jichiku's Rockman CX for Mega Man 2, and bbb's Move Your Body Freely 64 for Super Mario 64.

Nice to meet everyone. I'm Originator Zero no. 74. I'm juggling Super Mario World and Kirby's Adventure in my free time (of which there is little, yay adulthood, but I really want to get something published, especially for the latter game which there are few mods of.) I'm versed in all kinds of resource assistance people might want on their SMW works and love doing pixel art if anyone desires a custom minipic. I can also help with custom post layouts if so you desire. Acmlmboard is a wonderful piece of software - cheers NinCollin for having exquisite taste.

Hi, Im JoacoRetroTech, I used to run a weekly youtube channel but not so much in this last time. Recently found that RHDN is closing, so sad. My first attempt to improve a ROM was years ago, modding a PSIV for obtain a bugless shadow blade. I hope this site takes the torch towards the future

hi supersonicjc here, lurked a bit over at RHDN and helped a few with english translations or bug fixes when they came up, not a hacker of anykind but a lover for the retro gaming community and hoping it stays alive and eventually this site comes to being a source for the retro community with the sad loss of the original... hope things happen here

Hey I'm Ravenfreak, I'm a 34 year old male Sonic rom hacker who prefers to hack the 8-bit Sonic titles. I have been hacking sonic for over a decade now but I often get distracted and start new projects before finishing other ones. :V Lately I've been working on a disassembly of Sonic Drift, and documenting the rom contents. I also have been working on a Sonic 1 GG disassembly and Sonic Chaos SMS disassembly here and there. I'm currently a judge for the Sonic Hacking Contest and have been a judge since 2021. I also have a Youtube channel as well that I like to work on and a few websites.

Hi all, I'm AnAxemRanger. I'm a Super Mario RPG romhacker. I released that Super Koopa RPG hack a couple months ago. I signed up for this website to support the project. There are many out there like me who don't post very much but still love the centralized romhacking community. Even if Romhacking.net wasn't the best place to get information about the particular game you wanted to hack, it gave you a start. I think this website can be the second coming of romhacking.net we want it to be if we give it a chance. Plus, I'm a fan of the Acmlm board format. I got my start on the old Acmlm board for Super Mario RPG romhacking.

kujakiller here, people know me for being in the Megaman romhacking scene. I made "megaman 3 improvement" which was intended for both normal players, and romhack creators. I wanted it to appeal to both types of people.

I'm very thankful there's at least a new place now for people to still download it, here on this website. after the original romhacking.net going down. :( it means the world to me. I want it to possible for people to get it where-ever possible.

I also been making my own romhack called "megaman odyssey" which some people may or may not remember. I hope one day to have it finished. It's currently got all 8 robot masters, and 2 wily castle levels done, so it's getting there.. kind of.

I'm a Giga, my name's Giga. Made Mario's Wacky World, then asked Proton Jon to play it, and I've basically been completely inactive regarding ROM hacking ever since, dabbling in using editors for specific games whenever one catches my eye. I wanna learn how to add MSU-1 support to games, namely the SNES games that are part of Archipelago that don't have support yet/anymore, though my motivation is shot, and it's pretty far from the top of my to-do list. In particular, Mega Man X3's music is mostly terrible, and I don't want to hear it anymore.

I'll probably just lurk here, but I figured I should say hello regardless. Good to see some prominent names. Keep on keeping on.

Heyo! vhr2121 here, or Vincent, that one guy that loves to play SMB3 hacks (and some other nice stuff, too) and make Youtube videos out of them!

I've been doing that since 2007, with a few setbacks along the way (some minor, some major) that kept me out for a while. Then again, if you live in a country that has been through a LOT... Well, you'd understand right away.

I'll be around here checking this place out, lurking... And commenting when appropiate!

So I hope to see your works!

Hello there! I'm Green Jerry, and I'm from Brazil.
I've made several NES and SNES hacks in the past, such as SMB Desert Land, Mario Rescues The Golden Mushroom, and holiday-themed hacks such as The Quest for the Candies, Mario Rescues Santa Claus and Mario's New Year Mini Quest.
I've also made several translations of games (mostly for NES and in my native language, which is Portuguese).
I haven't been working on hacks that much in the last few months, as I've been focusing on FNaF fan games. I've made a few of them since 2022 and they can be downloaded on Game Jolt, though I still work on hacks sometimes.

I'm not so much a ROM hacker as somebody who pokes at ROMs and occasionally makes some tools. Probably the most interesting thing I've made is a tool for fiddling with NES and FDS ROMs (mostly headers and organization, but also some of the FDS structures and conversion from UNIF).

Anyway, I'm glad to see somebody looking to pick up from where the RHDN folks left off. :)

Hello everybody! I'm Voliol (they/them), and most of what I do ROM-hacking-wise is in one of those Pokémon randomizers, the UPR FVX. Though recently I've messed around a bunch with Dragon Quest VI for the Super Famicom too, am hoping to have something come out of that.
These worlds are rather different. The UPR is a binary hacking tool in a decomp/disassembly world, sure, but it is also able to lean on this and the great size of the Pokémon community quite a bit. The Dragon Quest community isn't tiny either, but VI is one of if not the most forgotten main series game. As far as I can tell, no one has done any real hacking of it since the translation patch was finished 20+ years ago. And that doesn't come with documentation. (big kudos to NoPrgress and everyone else involved back then, still)

Regarding this site, it seems cool! Granted when I was first linked to it it just appeared like a forum, and I was rather disappointed thinking every single release would only be represented as a forum thread, haha ^^. But then clicking around there's this whole, and there's a whole database, seemingly feature-complete relative RHDN! Plus it is by far the prettiest of the alternatives I've seen. Please, let not the future of ROM hacking be one of those very skeevy sites you download pre-patched Pokémon hacks from.

I've been hacking Super Famicom Wars for the SNES, discovering ways to make custom maps, stats and AI in the game. I'm good at pixel art, hex editing, and a little bit of ASM.
My desktop usually looks something like this:

Nice to meet all of you.

Hello, Snowshoe! There is a Projects and Art section if you ever want to show off some of your pixel art. I think that would be cool to see.
