They really went all out on the art for that. I WISH something like that would cross over. The best I get is Smash Ultimate.



The game came up in conversation over the week, mostly over Sasai, but it really is a game that doesn't get a lot of talk more than it does a bad rap.

Last view: 121 days 		Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was the first RPG I played. We didn't have much in Europe/Germany, renamed to "Mystic Quest Legend" here without the Final Fantasy connection. So its one of the first RPGs that hit us as an introduction to the genre and was (unlike most games back then) fully translated.

I never had played a game like that before and it was fascinating and the start of a new love, including soundtracks. This game and its soundtrack has a special place in my heart.

That's one of those "killer soundtrack, questionable game" games. Though, in my case, I strangely enjoy it. Consider it a guilty pleasure of mine.

While I've never actually listened to that before I was like 'wow that sounds VERY similar to the 2000s era Alternative I used to listen to on the air waves'. Look it up: 2007. So I wasn't far off.



TH OSTs are pretty easy to recommend.

Love that track!

But if we want spooky, this track made me feel honest to god dread when I had to listen to this for what felt like damn near an hour. I managed to get through that stupid valley first try tho! It was the most tense I've ever been while playing a video game in a long long time.

Amazing soundtrack on the NES! This is a "remaster" of the same tunes, but edited to simulate a stereo effect. The timestamp starts with Stage 1 track.
