Sorry about your mouse. With a laptop, I use a mouse instead of a TouchPad because I'm extremely picky about how it controls and I absolutely must not allow tap on the pad portion because it makes drawing graphics miserable. This forum is easy enough to navigate with up and down, page up, page down, the tab key to select the box you need or shift + tab to go back, and enter for a confirm click imo, but I don't think I would enjoy being stuck having to do that...

I did cave and start using my phone to post because some nights get boring, and I'm relieved to know that IP bans and account disabling aren't intertwined and automatic here so I don't have to worry about accidents. ^^;;; One quirk I am noticing on the scheme I am using is that some posts have tiny font and others have big enough font that's readable without zooming, and whether or not someone has a layout doesn't impact this. I'm wondering what the exact reasoning behind it is and if there's any particular demand for the inclusion of a more mobile-friendly site theme if a mobile browser is detected. (If there is, I'll pester Nin for a copy of the board version's default template and tweak that and make the menu always positioned in the top left able to be collapsed, make some of these buttons easier to tap without zooming - I'll watch this thread for opinions if the "desktop" layout is proving to be a hassle. Ideally if it is something we want, I'd like to start it after the major work on the site is complete so it doesn't need continuous revisions though.)

No, you're right. They deleted it from the server some time after I first checked it. I'm going to try dropbox this time (which for some reason, the buttons are all blank in Pale Moon...) and verified in a different browser where I can actually see the buttons that they're accessible at time of posting.

Raphael's Rampage
Michelangelo's Mission
Leonardo's Legacy
Donatello's Destiny

Should these links ever go down, inform me here and I'll go searching again for a place to weasel them back online.

Something's up with the way a lot of antiviruses are analyzing the utilities for modifying games as trojans. Which anti-malware software do you use? Nin will have to reach out to the company.

Probably a "security" thing tbh; not sure what the basis for it was)
A popular thing to do back then to forums unfortunately was to find the unfiltered places you could insert JavaScript and steal a user's cookies and therefore their login session, and all that user would have to do is view the page without JS disabled to become victim. Strict IP verification means account session theft through XSS was stopped at the time of incident instead of giving someone time to cause damage with a higher level account since the login cookie won't match the thief's IP. So while a minor nuisance, having to log back in every day is much less of a bother for me personally, than finding half the stuff deleted one morning because someone stole a privileged account and needing Nin to roll back the database, and I can live with it being what it is.

I've passed that information on and hopefully there will come a resolution soon.

I'm really close to getting that French Beret, and then I think I'll start saving for shoes. It would take continuous months of Posting Syndrome++ to get all the best gear and I don't see anyone doing that.

I'm kind of amused by how broken the baby emoticon is from the conflicting syntax:
<img src="img/smilies/baby.gif" align=absmiddle border=0 alt="~<img src="img/smilies/dramatic.gif" align=absmiddle border=0 alt=":o" title=":o">" title="~<img src="img/smilies/dramatic.gif" align=absmiddle border=0 alt=":o" title=":o">">

instead of just
<img src="img/smilies/baby.gif" align=absmiddle border=0 alt=":baby:" title="~:o">
And that would simply produce a :baby:.

I'd postulate that changing the order of those two smilies in file so that the baby emoticon syntax is fed first through regex replacement would fix it or it could just be changed to :baby:. I think the other 3 are choking on < and > being treated as potential HTML tags and would need new syntax entirely like
:mad:
:shiftleft:
:shiftright:
:darn:

HOWEVER in looking at that, I'm seeing some other markup errors with the page for:

Post Preview's post
<table cellspacing="0" class="c1" id=>
(id= should have "" and it won't show error anymore) and the footer's first table is missing both <tr> and <td> in the first table, and the second table has no row, and doesn't close the <td> either, so we're broken in strict mode. Also noticed that the RHDN submission database has "list"/"li" BBCode for (<ul>/<li>) (example) that has not been implemented here at the time of posting. I'll start a new thread if I run into more little things.

I went through as much of the site as humanly possible to identify markup syntax errors and things RHDN submissions used for descriptions that are currently missing.

1) HTML errors (for W3 compliance - a bit of this is only looking right because the browser is correctly assuming the erroneous markup's intentions and this can't be guaranteed in the future)

documents.php, fonts.php, games.php, hacks.php, homebrew.php, translations.php, utilities.php
The a href is missing "quotes" for both link page ID and the pagination.

editprofile.php
Birthday inputs have value declared but it's missing an attribute.

forums.php
The table around the Forum Title is missing <tr> ... </tr> around its <td> ... </td>

forums.php, thread.php
The navigation hierarchy above/below the thread(s) has an href without quotes round forum.php

gamepage.php, translationpage.php
Each table cell in the data below the picture needs a preceeding <tr>.

gamepage.php, hackpage.php, homebrewpage.php, utilitypage.php
Needs a single space between the closing quote of class and the rowspan.
Search for:
n1"rowspan
to jump to them.

homebrewpage.php
The cell with the console has a </div>, but there is no <div> to close

main.php
The a href is missing "quotes" around thread.php?announce=0
Footer's first table is missing both <tr> and <td> in the first table, and the second table has no row, and doesn't close the <td>

memberlist.php
None of the links in the filtering table a href tags have "quotes" around the URLs
The avatars in the img src tags do not have "quotes" around the userpic URLs

newreply.php
The id of the table around the post preview is undefined, but missing "" after =

mood.php
There is a space without a semicolon
&nbsp
and just after that is an extra </tr>.

profile.php
It's complaining about & not being characterized as
&amp;
in the postsbyuser links and shop.php links

profile.php, thread.php
It's complaining about & not being characterized as
&amp;
in the userpic

register.php
There is a </form> after the Register button, but no <form> to close.

rules.php
Much of the file does not close its <tr>s or <td>s.
The browser is complaining about &tags& as being an attempt at character designations that do not exist (should the example be replaced with
&amp;
to shut it up and show correctly for the user, and then any real use gets replaced by the value it represents anyways?

shop.php
In the gear stats
<td class="b n2 align="center" '>
should just be
<td class="b n2 align="center">

It's complaining about & not being
&amp;
in the item and category links.

thread.php
The table around a deleted post is missing <tr> ... </tr> around its <td> ... </td>s.
The links when selecting time and in the pagination are missing quotes around the URLs in the a href.
The quick reply's avatar select field has no space between -1" and selected=

login.php, online.php, ranks.php, stats.php
Everything checks out

2) BBCode not implemented:
I'm noticing stray BBCode in the RHDN mirror descriptions. This may not be a complete list because I only noticed "list" :LOL:
[list] ... [/list]
[li] ... [li]
for
<ul> ... </ul> /* unordered list */
<li> ... </li> /* listed item */

3) Not working as intended:
sprites.php
The franchise boxes aren't receiving any information.

Daily Cycle (Boom.dk) and Remastered Cycle (Nikolaj)
These are both incompatible with PHP 8 and thus show a plain page. (blackhole89's version is working. For those curious, the background color changes with the time of day between orange, purple, blue.)

Tanzanite has wonderful color balance and texture without being distracting. I do agree with your top picks. Daily Cycle and Night are classics. The Tropical one is pretty cool for one of the full-screen non-pattern background themes. As a Kirby fan, though... the KDL3 land textures on the table cells like that don't work as a web theme, not in the way Zelda does. (I didn't see the Zelda theme in there, but I know it exists.)

My gacha of choice had a few collabs and won't rerun the banner of the one I missed - and that was also my first peek into this series.

The first games in any of the arcs are good to start with (Sky FC, Zero, Cold Steel, or Daybreak.) How to decide - I would consider which scenario starting out appeals most to you... do you want to start out doing odd jobs helping people and slaying monsters as a young girl with a suddenly-adopted mysterious brother, as a new police recruit to a special task force, as a student in a military academy in a growing empire, or a self-employed mercenary who is initially a lone wolf? You'll be reading a lot in the beginning so it's important to choose something engaging. I started with Cold Steel 3 and didn't feel lost either, since 2 is wrapped up and 3 is starting on a fresh note despite being in the middle. Some of them pick up immediately off the end of the others, like CS4 and Reverie, and will be a mess to begin with, as you are not primed with context in any way that you will care about if you skip Erebonia and Crossbell games. There are frequent sales on Steam for Falcom games, so keep an eye out.

Sky FC is known for being slow-paced though ~40 hours, but would set you up to appreciate things chronologically, as the characters develop through the series and as the world changes. There are a lot of recurring characters, things that are consequences of established events, and recollections of established events throughout, and though each game provides you with a glossary to sum up the important things you will need to know, some things are sprinkled in as more of a surprise.

Yes, I play Langrisser Mobile. I have an Altina in the low 9500s and Van at about 9200 but mostly use Altina since I play Meteor Strike. I gave her Gift of Eternal Life for off-healing since Nymph and Lisa are the only ones I have that can contribute better healing if I need more than GOEL Altina and Jugler to carry a party's health. If you're on the same server block as me (Mira Port/Cellier Lake/Dark Cave/2 others I am forgetting) then if you ever feel like going back, I have a guild you can join :P

The scenario I am describing is in fact Trails in the Sky FC and you should be able to get it cheap on Steam - I will share when I see the next sale for it. It will likely go under $20 or $10 a few more times before the Switch remake is out. If you enjoy FC, you'll be prepared for the subsequent games also being increasingly longer too.
