Do you ever post anything on mobile device? Sometimes I check RHDN on mobile device but never actually logging in to post and when it comes to that I always use my desktop computer.

Lately I haven't been doing so, but I'm not opposed to it and have sufficed with it quite fine in the past.

I usually don't post from my phone because the mobile data IPs in my area tend to be range banned on enough of the places I lurk that I don't bother trying. Troublemakers in my region I guess. >_><_<

I don't tend to do so simply because it just doesn't come to mind to check up on forums from a mobile device. If a forum exists and I post on it, I tend to use it moreso on a PC. On a phone or other mobile device, I tend to check my instant messengers instead.

I only post on PC. Typing on a phone is just... ugh... @_@

Well, I kinda don't have an computer anymore, so yes, I do it a lot. Although using forums in mobile is Very Annoying because sometimes I try to type one letter and I hit the other, or go to the wrong thread, or try to customize my RPG profile thingy and buy Butcher Knife by mistake, which isn't so much of a problem since this isn't a game, but it shows how I hate typing on phones.

I have actually had to search for google to search for anything because the default browser on Amazon tablets sucks.

Every now and again. Writing long posts on a touchscreen keyboard is of course a pain (and often leads to typos ^^) but it works out for shorter comments like this one. Of course my mobile browser (firefox on android) doesn't love old forum software, but it is still faster than reddit and better at resizing than your average neocities site.

Edit: Got back to my computer and discovered my mouse is as dead as a brick. Funnily, this messes up the user experience of many websites but this forum is not much worse than on mobile.

Sorry about your mouse. With a laptop, I use a mouse instead of a TouchPad because I'm extremely picky about how it controls and I absolutely must not allow tap on the pad portion because it makes drawing graphics miserable. This forum is easy enough to navigate with up and down, page up, page down, the tab key to select the box you need or shift + tab to go back, and enter for a confirm click imo, but I don't think I would enjoy being stuck having to do that...

I did cave and start using my phone to post because some nights get boring, and I'm relieved to know that IP bans and account disabling aren't intertwined and automatic here so I don't have to worry about accidents. ^^;;; One quirk I am noticing on the scheme I am using is that some posts have tiny font and others have big enough font that's readable without zooming, and whether or not someone has a layout doesn't impact this. I'm wondering what the exact reasoning behind it is and if there's any particular demand for the inclusion of a more mobile-friendly site theme if a mobile browser is detected. (If there is, I'll pester Nin for a copy of the board version's default template and tweak that and make the menu always positioned in the top left able to be collapsed, make some of these buttons easier to tap without zooming - I'll watch this thread for opinions if the "desktop" layout is proving to be a hassle. Ideally if it is something we want, I'd like to start it after the major work on the site is complete so it doesn't need continuous revisions though.)

I do sometimes browse the web with my android phone sometimes when I'm nowhere close to my laptop, but I try not to write posts when I can afford not to. I have caveman fingers and I have the tendency to fat-finger my texts on my phone, so having to write an entire post with actual content in it on a mobile device is way too challenging for me to want to consider.

Some people are naturally good at that type of stuff. I, sadly, am not one of them.

Hardly, mostly because of the lack of ease for doing so and the fact that I usually want to add something in more than just text when I'm allowed do so.

If it's only a brief reply, I might do it on mobile, though this is infrequent (probably less than 5% of the time).

Typing with two thumbs on my phone doesn't feel very comfortable. I prefer to grip the phone with my left hand and type with the right.

I literally cannot do two thumbs. Not because I lack a digit, but because I have not the dexterity to do such a thing. I am at the mercy of swiping and that is verrry touchy, to say the least. I've gotten somewhat better at it, over time, but it's one of those situations where I scoff at the dictionary/suggestion pool sometimes going 'when do I EVER use that word?' and getting marginally pissed about it.

I have in the past but foruming on phone isn't really a fun or authentic experience.

I absolutely despise typing on my phone so I do it as sparingly as possible. I also dislike mobile web design in general, the viewport is just too small to do anything really interesting. Desktop all the way.

I have a physical keyboard on my phone, so I'd be more inclined to do it if I could be bothered to log in on my phone, but I've posted from mobile on other forums in the past and it's, not the best experience. Sometimes it's better than nothing tho if you're away from your PC for long enough and just want something else to do for a lil' while.

Only if I can't access my computer. It's not the worst thing in the world but since most forums aren't optimized for mobile devices they tend to be pretty tedious to navigate, especially on longer phones.
