I do hope there's just one successor when all's said and done, it'd be a pain to have to check for and update or submit hacks on multiple predominant romhacking sites that host them instead of just one like it was with RHDN. Last I checked the RHDN Discord staff was going to attempt to make a new site also, but neoromhacking already seems a fair bit ahead of it... If both sites decide to not concede though I suppose we will have more than one!

Well there is a rom hack site just for Super Mario World hacks. It's got a handful of Yoshi's Island rom hacks on it but it's like 98% Super Mario World stuff. There's some fun hacks there that aren't on this site. It's been around a long time too. My personal favorite one is "Mario is Missing Done Right".

For Sim City+, have one of the hazards be a Zombie outbreak. The only thing it would affect is the population.

You weren't planning on transforming Sim City into another Raccoon City, were you? Ha ha ha ha ha ha...;)

Is there a way to reverse pipes and have them face upside down? Maybe be able to edit piranha plants upside down too so they pop out of them?

Despite the fact that Nintendo got rid of the 3.5 mm jack from the GBA Sp, I prefer it to the original GBA.

Yeah and the shoulder buttons are nice too.

While I was revisiting this website to check for new messages, it appears there was a pop-up from Norton that tells us this is a dangerous site. How could Norton flag this as dangerous? There is nothing very wrong with NeoRHDN as far as I could tell. Isn't there anybody who can convince Norton that there was no damage done?

No reports on my end and i'm using ublock origin and ghostery through firefox. It all reads 0. Usually when i go to a site and there's something wrong with it, it'll tell me right away it's bad and prevent me from visiting it unless i approve it and the only time i ever did click yes anyway, I got a virus. I'm not getting any bad readings here.

Hello, epic gamers.
I've played games like Final Fantasy 4, 5, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Doom 1 & 2, Blood and Postal 1 & 2, so I like mostly FPSs and RPGs.

Did you see the new SNES Doom coming out next year?

What?! No, what is it? It's SNES Doom 2???

No they upgraded the original Doom and are make official SNES carts for it. Limited Run Games are doing it.

So back in 2016, pacnsac made 4 rom hacks of Toxic Crusaders (one for each of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), each one totally unique with it's own levels. They were titled, "Leonardo's Legacy, Raphael's Rampage, Mikey's Mission, and Donatello's Destiny". When they were shown back then, each of them were released on NES carts, each one costing about 40 dollars each and it was around 140 dollars for the whole set on Etsy where it was being sold. Since then that store on Etsy has closed down but CygnusDestroyer's website has a link to the site that still sells the carts for 55 bucks a piece. What sucks is these are four rom hacks that are locked behind an expensive paywall and most fans never get to play them on original hardware or via emulation. It really would be great if someone could upload the patches here if any exist or release the roms online somewhere. It's a middle finger to TMNT and NES fans to keep them as collector's items and not let anybody play them. It's been 8 years. I think that's long enough. The only hack of Toxic Crusaders for the NES that i found on this site has been the Easy patch to make the game easier to play. Anyone have any leads?

Here is the shop

I'd like to see a revamp of Mega Man X6 (probably X5, too). I know there's a QoL patch for it, but it doesn't change the level design much, nor does it localize the Mavericks' names or add English voice acting. Adding a save system to a lot of games that don't have one would also be good. And I'd like to see Crash Bandicoot hacking become more viable. Maybe someone could revamp Wrath of Cortex to have better levels and loading times. I'm also always up for more GOOD Super Mario World hacks, but what I'd really like to see is more hacks that are ambitious but accessible. I don't need more Kaizo or even just plain difficult hacks, and I don't need more vanilla or "choconilla" ones; I'd just like to see something with nice graphics and music and reasonable difficulty that feels like Nintendo would have made it, maybe like if they'd made a direct sequel to Super Mario World circa 1994 after having more experience with the SNES.

The only update i want for Mega Man X5 is to turn down the volume of the dialogue box noise. >_< Geez is that sound obnoxiously loud!!!

This should work: https://github.com/lightbulb-sun/x5-volume
Included are five patches for volume levels between 0 and 80 (default is 90/95).

Thanks.

No, you're right. They deleted it from the server some time after I first checked it. I'm going to try dropbox this time (which for some reason, the buttons are all blank in Pale Moon...) and verified in a different browser where I can actually see the buttons that they're accessible at time of posting.

Raphael's Rampage
Michelangelo's Mission
Leonardo's Legacy
Donatello's Destiny

Should these links ever go down, inform me here and I'll go searching again for a place to weasel them back online.

Thank you so much!!! :D

So do y’all think this new site will be the “official” successor to the original RHDN? I guess time will tell.

I think it will. Custom layouts, a fun little RPG side game thing, as for any errors people run into that's usually fixed as soon as it's reported. There's still some games listed under rom hacks that have no hacks at all, but it's starting out so i'll give it time to grow.

@ supersonicjc I haven't played any Mega Man on sega, but I may have to change that soon. Having all Mega Man games on the genesis would be awesome!

We're more than halfway there so far. Mega Man 1-3 are in Wily Wars, Mega Man 4 is in The Sequel Wars. Mega Man 5 is in the works. :D
