Old one from '21. From BlaZeon on the SNES. No one plays that unless you like Engrish shmups but the composer was the same as the original Megami Tensei titles. Was wanting to see how much the pitch adjustments transferred to the NES, since this doesn't use standard tuning at all, meaning the notes are ever-so-slightly flat on some of the instruments. |

The review largely goes into it but it's a bug-ridden mess. Crashes and soft-lock bugs are more common than they should be. The other aspect is it gets way too easy towards the end. Being able to stun-lock both forms of the final boss to zero damage with little effort is a sign, for example. To others who've played it who don't have a clue how to really play Tetris to begin with struggle to make it work. In the end, who is this game for?
I think what really set me off was attempting to get on the Discord server to rectify some of this and speak with the devs and coming back from it like...they really didn't care. Or at least there was only so much active participation than 'oh do this it'll fix it' when it never did. It was clear they really didn't have an idea of what they were doing. Overall, might explain why the current player count is in the single digits. There's a lot that could be done here and obvious passion to the project and some genuine talent involved (VikingGuitar, for instance) but it falls flat with all of the above problems. |

Blade Chimera. It's due out here on the 16th. Demo's out on Steam. I also took the time to finish up WitchSpring R. Not too bad if you're looking for an Atelier-like RPG. |

Posted by Red Soul Well, it works but the bigger problem is the price point. It does miss a lot of features too that you find in clients like Riichi City or Mahjong Soul. It's a nice palette cleanser, at least. |

Posted by Bonesy I already have enough trouble keeping pace with Arknights and then ranted and raved too much at tile game clients for six months. If I had more patience, I might. As it stands, I can't even pick up GBVS that I supposedly have for free on PS... |

Posted by Red Soul Deepest so far was 35 dollars. Even that really wasn't it for us. That said, that was on me because I had a windfall around Christmas time and just got our small group each a copy. Worked out. Obviously, I don't expect anyone to ever do that but ours was a special case. I sincerely doubt it gets any lower than that for cost any time soon, though. |

I might not be big on TTRPGs but I don't mind getting something physical out to play once in a while. Honestly, I'm play TT Sim a lot more if I thought it was more convenient, in that respect. Chess is definitely one of the leads if not the for my experiences though. I'm solidly intermediate. If someone can combat a center game then I probably lose, though. |

Posted by ArceusI Still have a copy of Chessmaster XI, in fact. On a 486 at the office that I revived this past year, I have Windows 3.1 on it with a copy of Chessmaster 3000. |

Posted by Zoinkity Was under the impression True Nine Gates and 13 Orphans, 13 Waits WAS considered a Double regardless. At least that one time I pulled off Suuankou Tanki (Four Closed Triplets, Single Wait) it was... [digs] Yep. Those are all doubles. |

Posted by ArceusI I go farther back to 'dawn' of anything Windows-based. I grew up more on MS-DOS, starting around 3.3. I've seen Windows 1.0 and 2.0/286 running on 286 back in the day. I'm also 40. Take that any way you like. |
