Consider making the e-mail address field on member profiles hidden by default.
New users editing their profile may put in their e-mail address, but may not realize it will be visible to everyone on their profile page by default, even logged-out guests. When you are editing your profile, you have to go down to the option "Hide Email" and change it to "Hide my email". Consider changing this setting so emails are hidden by default. That will help prevent bots from harvesting users' e-mail addresses to send spam. |

Another user reports Virus Total blacklisting the site in this other thread: Site showing up as URL Blacklisted...
As I remember it, when ROMhacking.net had problems with browsers marking the site as unsafe, they changed it so the downloads required either logging in or entering a simple captcha (entering the letters and numbers shown in an image). This prevented the scanners from accessing the downloads. |

The RSS feed at https://neoromhacking.net/rss.php is currently showing up in my feed reader as an invalid feed. It looks like it's because of an ampersand in this thread title:
[Technical][PSX] Help text Dumping (& eventually translating) Brightis - [06:01 PM] by tank120 I guess the ampersand needs to be encoded as & |

There's another variant of this problem now:
Validation results for https://neoromhacking.net/rss.php:
™ seems to be valid in HTML. I don't know what it needs to be to get the feed working. |
