I would like to get started translating gameboy games,and the game i choose for this project is pocket king for GBC. I have a few questions:
1. Is there any currently translating project of this game? I dont want to start translating a game that is already being worked on. 2. Can anybody take a look on this games data and tell me how easy would be to translate (if there are any weird encoding,compression,other stuff to be noted?) I took a look at the rom in TM and i found the sections where they store ASCII characters and kana,they look normal to me. 3. I am totally new to hacking roms,so i mainly follow the guides found on documents section of rhdn made by user Bunkai. Can anybody tell me if they are any good (they are the most complete stuff on the subject found by me) and if not can you pls point me to other material for learning? |
