Hey I'm Ravenfreak, I'm a 34 year old male Sonic rom hacker who prefers to hack the 8-bit Sonic titles. I have been hacking sonic for over a decade now but I often get distracted and start new projects before finishing other ones. :V Lately I've been working on a disassembly of Sonic Drift, and documenting the rom contents. I also have been working on a Sonic 1 GG disassembly and Sonic Chaos SMS disassembly here and there. I'm currently a judge for the Sonic Hacking Contest and have been a judge since 2021. I also have a Youtube channel as well that I like to work on and a few websites.

I've been playing Turok 2 on hardcore on my Series S. I just made it to the primagen's lightship. It's been quite difficult, but I wouldn't expect hardcore to be easy lol. Prior to that I played through Doom 1, 2 and Doom 64. This was before Doom 1+2 came out of course, so I played the XBLA versions of those games.

What have you been watching lately? My wife and I have been watching Supernatural, we finished up Attack on Titan last weekend and decided to pick Supernatural as the next show to watch together. We finished up episode 9 last night. I remember when the show first aired, I was a Sophomore in high school!

I finished playing Turok 2 on hard core last night, and since the Timesplitters trilogy is out on PS5 I'll be playing them again. I never beat 1, never played 2 and I have at least beat Future Perfect which is the game out of the series I've played the most of. I own all three games physically, but now I don't have to hook up my PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube to play all three.

Despite the fact that Nintendo got rid of the 3.5 mm jack from the GBA Sp, I prefer it to the original GBA. I also like the look of the Toploader NES over the original toaster model, I just wish it natively had a RCA connector. I have a Toploader and love it, I just don't have the skills to mod it though lol. Other than that I prefer the look of many of the original models of consoles, especially the Sega Genesis, PS2, and PS3. Their later revisions just don't look as cool IMO, and the Model 2 Genesis got rid of my favorite feature of the Model 1, the headphone jack.

I came across Sonic Megamix randomly one day. From there I discovered Sonic Retro, and the rest was history. This was in 2008, but I didn't really get into hacking Sonic until 2009 and even then I was a noob. I got better especially when I started diving into hacking the 8-bit games in 2011.
