As much as I love the forums, I don't think the general public wants to be landing on them each time coming here to "grab and thing" then go.

Now I'm not saying to copy RHDN, but maybe copy it a little bit but change the names

. Because frankly a lot of it just works and if it ain't broke...

Parts I think are important for a Main/landing page to have;

A News section if we ever go get one up and running I think is a must, and a recently added section split into sections with a link to see more, etc. is a nice QoL feature for keeping up-to-date with "happenings" at a glance, and lastly the Changelog, I used this part heavily as I usually don't pay much attention to the internet world until my weekends, so I miss a lot of the news when it happens and just play catch-up then, this was a great way of seeing all the related changes, new releases, updates to old, etc. Essential (for me at least) for catching up over a course of 1, 2, even 3 weeks.

(I'll probably think of some other stuff later, but this is a good starting point.)
