Oh, yea. I dig this. Been liking a lot of the 'DX' upconverts and the like as of late. Especially, the MM GB series that have been getting looked at.
I don't suppose you have anything video-related to show off at present?

I might as well copy my development thread from RHDN to this place.
After finishing up Zelda II - Amida's Curse and Super Mario Kart - Epic Racers, I started work on my third extensive ROM hack: Embers of Mana ![]() Embers of Mana will be a brand new Mana adventure for Gameboy. This Rom hack is based on Final Fantasy Adventure (also known as Mystic Quest or Seiken Densetsu). Excited to play this. I *LOVED* your Amida's Curse hack, and I generally never like that type of "new game within the engine" hack. |

Looks promising! For your new story quests, where do you get your inspiration and ideas from? For example, any tv show, book, or game influenced you in designing the story? |

Posted by Kenmasters Good question. I think the inspiration comes mainly from the dozens of JRPGs I played in my life! ![]() ____________________ Embers of Mana (https://www.okimpala.net) Zelda II - Amida’s Curse (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=6292/) Super Mario Kart - Epic Racers (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=5514/) Super Mario Kart - The Impala Battles (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=154) |

I'm liking what I see even before you do any new palette and customization work. Is it going to have both SGB support and a GBC mode? If both, I'd love an excuse to get SGB and if GBC only, I'm willing to play your hack on console. I love handheld RPGs. It was smart of you to prioritize the gameplay and story for completion and save these details for last - I admire your planning and sticking to it |

Posted by Oz74 I haven't decided yet on DMG support (and for that matter SGB support). I'm currently leaning on only supporting GBC as I wouldn't like it when people would start playing the DMG mode of Embers of Mana and then select their own color palette. Making my game look worse than I'd like. ____________________ Embers of Mana (https://www.okimpala.net) Zelda II - Amida’s Curse (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=6292/) Super Mario Kart - Epic Racers (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=5514/) Super Mario Kart - The Impala Battles (https://neoromhacking.net/hackpage.php?id=154) |

This looks sweet and totally like something i'd wanna play!
I also like the focus on exploration, in which regard did you underline this? I'm totally rooting for this (a good term considering Mana Tree lol). |
