Hello there, boys and girls. Remember me?^_~
If not, then let me (re)introduce myself.

My name is Morrigan Aensland-Hill, but you may refer to me as Morrigan for short.

Hello, and welcome! I’m not sure if I seen you before. What have you worked on for the N64, snes, and Capcom?

For the N64 so far, I have modded GoldenEye and Perfect Dark.

As for the SNES, I am currently working on Super Robot Taisen in terms of events and character portraits/dialogue.

And the only Capcom game I hacked so far was Street Fighter EX.

Cool, I remember playing GoldenEye in the 90’s. It was a very fun game at that time. When you said Capcom, I was hoping you worked on Mega Man X. I always like see stuff for Mega Man X. Street Fighter EX, is that for the ps1?

Nice! It’s been awhile since I tried doing some hacking on the ps1. I managed to write a data compressor for the ps1 mmx3(rockman x3) but I just couldn’t figure out how the sprite system worked due to not having enough knowledge about how the ps1 registers worked. I definitely need to do some more research on MIPS asm. I’ll eventually try again to learn some ps1 hacking. Do you have any links to your projects that you have worked on?

I know right? One mod of EX I created is where Chun-Li had her pantyhose intentionally removed. By editing the bytes in the code that depicts her CLUT, she now has bare legs. Sadly, it doesn't affect her render model but it's satisfactory in my opinion.

Oh, John? I heard your plea. You can find my SFEX mod right here.

This is the PS1 ASM reference I use. The CPUs registers are 32 bit, and treated as signed by default but you can usually add "u" to the end of most instructions to make it treat everything as unsigned. I wish you luck in learning PS1 ASM! It took me a few tries before it felt like I was doing more than just beating my head against the wall.

Awesome, thanks to the both of you! 😊

Probably be some time before I have another try at the ps1 but if I ever get good enough at it I’ll start making some mmx stuff for the ps1. I really want to do something like having an open world for mega man x similar to super metroid open world.
