I might not be big on TTRPGs but I don't mind getting something physical out to play once in a while. Honestly, I'm play TT Sim a lot more if I thought it was more convenient, in that respect. Chess is definitely one of the leads if not the for my experiences though. I'm solidly intermediate. If someone can combat a center game then I probably lose, though. |

Posted by ArceusI Still have a copy of Chessmaster XI, in fact. On a 486 at the office that I revived this past year, I have Windows 3.1 on it with a copy of Chessmaster 3000. |

Posted by HiryuuPosted by ArceusI Wow! That is older than me! Windows 3.1 was the dawn of classic Windows operating systems, which concluded with ME in 2000. Chess has a lot of possibilities, even though it's not a video game per se, it does have a high RPI, predicted to be about 70-75 alone. A mighty impressive feat, but the RPI could be much higher. Chess, Checkers & Backgammon are 3 high RPI board games and are all present on Ultimate Brain Games & Board Game Classics on GBA. ____________________ My love for Arceus is eternal. |

Posted by ArceusI I go farther back to 'dawn' of anything Windows-based. I grew up more on MS-DOS, starting around 3.3. I've seen Windows 1.0 and 2.0/286 running on 286 back in the day. I'm also 40. Take that any way you like. |

Posted by HiryuuPosted by ArceusI 1.0, I heard of it and saw snippets of it, but I never actually used Windows 1.0, and with technology going the way it is, never will be granted that capability to use 1.0. Mind you I'm only 28.5 at the time this reply was made. ____________________ My love for Arceus is eternal. |

I cut my teeth on WANG. Games? What are games?
Have a VM made from the HD of an old win3.1 laptop that recently died, all whopping 4MB of storage. It's hilarious that whole OSes fit in kilobytes of space, especially considering how 32bit OSes are meeting their end now because the amount of RAM required to run minimal services can't be addressed. That's a pretty neat smartchessboard ;*) |
