The answer is obvious: download to physical media from satellites. You could even do it on a rotating schedule. (Not that any major game publisher ever did that before or anything...)

As an over-the-air TV fan I would gladly welcome another Satellaview-like. There's just something cool about non-Internet connectivity in this era of smart devices and Internet streaming.

That said, while it's cool to dream big and have a lot of ambition, it's also very important to start small if you haven't done anything like this before. I'm thinking something more along the lines of Uzebox and GameTank, or even trying to make something with a small computer like a Raspberry Pi.

Getting a new platform to take off is also extremely difficult, even for a big company with a lot of money. Like Google wasn't able to do it. I was also really excited for Ouya and the stuff it was trying to achieve, and then was disappointed with how poorly it did. It's probably best to approach it as a for-fun thing.

Well, yeah, but our Privacy is being invaded by corporations & governments now, breaking the 1st Amendment and even crossing the lines of the 4th & 14th Amendments because of ID/Credit Card surrendering, VPN usage is skyrocketing, and now Geolocation plans to destroy VPNs too, meaning there needs to be something that makes tracking practically impossible, so privacy can be maintained.

I'd argue the 3rd Amendment as well. Why should I be burdened with the cost of time & energy of supporting the Man's botnet, huh?

So make that 4 Amendments being broken! Now that means if America can just ignore the Constitution, then it's clear that US law has become meaningless, America no longer is Constitutionally obedient.

I knew that 200 years of history would ultimately dictate what people need: Privacy, Ownership of sensitive information to themselves only & Security, plus the obedience of the US government to the very Constitution they made, companies excluded from this loop.

AI does exist, but unfortunately it's not without it's own faults. So automation with AI for this kind of work seems far off. But hey, you never know! (Though, what does SVG stand for?)

SVG? Something vector graphics. Scalable?

Current plan is to still have it generate an initial SVG then feed a bunch of commands into GIMP's command line interface. A vector art program is less ideal in this case. It actually does need to be a raster image in the end due to a bunch of the things you need to provide to the minimap entry as far as reference points go like which pixels act as keys.

Part of this is being super-picky about the output replicating the originals for existing maps. Really should just finish this one course manually and leave the automation for the future, but...

Minimaps are unique to the N64 games but they changed considerably between them. Not too thrilled with the newer version, and really the in-game grid overlay is much cooler (and scalable to a degree), but at least three of them are mandatory.

Interesting, that sheds some new light on the N64 as a whole!

https://www.reddit.com/r/google/comments/1n02rpn/google_will_block_sideloading_of_unverified/

This is absolutely horrible! Android is supposed to be completely open-source, and now Google is trying to make that exceedingly difficult without Advertising! We all need to revolt together and force Google to abandon their plans or Emulation as we know it will likely be completely dead as people will use them less and less because they will cost money or have advertising that will shoo people away!

Google is violating various US Constitutional Amendments and even UN Articles, and they think it's perfectly legal, we know the EU will try their hardest to prevent it, but we need every country to make laws preventing Google from doing this very act, if you have an Android: DISABLE YOUR GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES APP IMMEDIATELY!!! I can't stress this enough, if you disable the bugger, and disable updates using Developer Settings, you should be able to dodge this mandate, it will render your device vulnerable, but having the Freedom of Choice is far more important.

I'm already scheduling to disable Google Play Services so I can freely download and install apps I like and save precious money for other purposes, and you all should consider that possibility too, breaking off of Google is strongly recommended now, worse still, it might even affect other Android OS systems like GrapheneOS, rendering it hopeless too, it's absolute chaos on the Android scene, and RetroArch will likely suffer heavily because of it as many Android gamers use RetroArch, so this has very negative implications on Android's gaming future and for general preservation!
