Description
CHR-OPT is a tool to optimize and reduce the number of character ROM tiles, getting rid of any duplicate tiles. It's a great tool when you have only a certain number of tiles and need to fit all the graphics in a character ROM bank.

CHR-OPT can also be used for other tile based console systems but it's best used for NES 2BPP graphics, which is why it is in the NES section.

This is a command-line utility.
