Breath of Fire 4 (PS1) editor that lets you edit lots of stuff in the game, and you can then patch those changes into your ROM.
Updated to version 1.9 (12/1/2023): Added a new section in the "Dragon" page where you can edit dragon stat and resistance boosts.
Updated to version 1.8 (11/29/2023): Added a new page for magic spells where you can edit how strong many of the spells are, as well as how much AP it will cost.
Updated to version 1.7 (11/26/2023): Can now edit both types of shops within all the Manillo shops. Also added a new button in the "Fishing" page that lets you view the fish stats hacking guide (also included in this zip file).
Updated to version 1.6 (11/22/2023): Have added a new fishing page that lets you edit what kind of fish you can catch in the different fishing locations, and how many fish you can catch there. Can also edit how many points are needed for each of the fishing ranks. Have also included a hacking guide for fish stats (Length for max point bonus, bonus points, bait that the fish likes/dislikes, and Strength/Stamina).
Updated to version 1.5 (11/16/2023): You can now edit what spells characters learn as they level up.
Updated to version 1.4 (11/10/2023): Can now edit what's for sale in all regular and faerie shops, and can have up to 15 items for sale (shops normally have a maximum of 8 items). Can add any Item, Weapon, Armor, or Accessory to any shop, including unused items. Also made "Bad ending" boss patching much faster.
Updated to version 1.3 (11/6/2023): Added editing for Dragons, including Abilities and game points needed to evolve dragons or upgrade Mutant Breath ability. Also fixed a bug from version 1.2 where the Master Skills learned only got patched in 1 location in the ROM, when it should have been patched in 12 different locations.
Updated to version 1.2 (11/2/2023): Added editing for Masters, including Master stat boosts and Skills learned.
Updated to version 1.1 (10/27/2023): Added editing for weapons and armor. Can now edit weapon power, weight, number of hits, shield damage, cost, who can equip, as well as similar armor stats. Also fixed an incorrect boss name in "Bad ending" section. Thanks to navarchos for technical info on the hits/shield damage byte.
Works on USA (SLUS-01324) or European (SLES-03552) ROMs.
Can edit lots of stuff like...
* Starting stats for all the characters (HP, AP, Power, Accuracy, etc) as well as all 12 resistance stats.
* What Magic and Spells each character starts with, as well as what equipment they start with (weapons, armor, etc). Can add up to 12 extra Magic/Spells of your choice (8 Magic and 4 Spells).
* Can have any character start with any Master.
* You can edit many of the stats for any enemy or boss in the game. This also includes bosses for the "Bad ending".
* Can edit the steal or drops rates for enemies/bosses, as well as what is stolen or dropped.
* Can edit how much Exp and Zenny (money) you get from enemies/bosses.
* Editor gives you the ROM address of data it finds in case you want to do more extensive editing with a hex editor (or if you're just curious).
* Have the option of creating a new ROM when patching if you'd like (this keeps your original file safe).
* Has several info buttons with specific info for different sections. Also has a Readme included.
