NeoRHDN - Translations - Translation Information

Pocket Monsters: Green Version
Game Boy
Game Description
This was, along with Pocket Monsters Red, the first Pokémon games ever released. It is a little bit different, though. That is because it had some flaws that people complained about that were fixed in Pocket Monsters Blue, or the Pokémon Red and Blue which were released in North America.

One main flaw with Green and Red are that there were many glitches, often gamebreaking.

There are some other flaws that were fixed in the North American releases, such as:
[list]
[li]During Oak's lecture at the start of the game, the Nidorino's cry actually belongs to a Nidorina. [/li]
[li]Missingno has an actual Pokedex entry, unlike in Blue where the entry is glitched up.[/li]
[li]The Pokémon only found through in-game trade were found in the wild in the Blue version.[/li]

Translation Description
Despite the popularity of Pokémon in Latin America, there is not an exclusive translation of Pokémon games for that territory, first receiving the video game in English and then inheriting the translation from Spain, which contains very different terms from those used within the franchise in Latin America.

This new version of Pokémon Green is 100% translated exclusively for Latin America.

Characteristics:

*100% Neutral Spanish Translation (Latino)
*The attacks and terms of the dubbed anime in Mexico are respected
*Translation errors of the original version were corrected
*Censorship of some dialogues applied in the West was eliminated
*It is possible to battle and trade Pokémon with official versions

Credits and thanks to Montblanc for creating this hack of Pokémon Green, which was used as the basis for the Latin American Spanish translation.
