| Game Description |
Mega Man X is the first game of the second Mega Man series which debuted on the Super Nintendo.
It is very similar to the original series, but with the addition of improved 16-bit era graphics, a more rock and roll inspired soundtrack, and new game play elements. The plot revolves around X, an advanced android with the ability to make his own decisions and Dr. Light's final creation.
Following a similar format to the original series, after an intro stage, you are able to select the order in which you play the first 8 stages before moving on to challenge the final levels. Gameplay features the same platforming style of play with dashing and wall jumping added to the original's running, jumping, and shooting goodness. X is even more capable at copying the weapons of fallen bosses with the addition of new armor parts that can be collected.
