Game Description

Crash Nitro Kart is a racing game for the Game Boy Advance.

Translation Description

This hack translates the Japanese release of Crash Nitro Kart for the Game Boy Advance back into English, using the game’s original English script as reference. This was achieved by using the original English alphabet that’s still present in the Japanese release.

While a native English release of Nitro Kart was released in multiple territories (USA and the UK), the Japanese version has extended music loops for nearly all race tracks that aren’t present in any other version of the game. This makes for a significantly more enjoyable gameplay experience and less repetitive music loops overall.

Nearly every text string in the game has been translated back into English, save for some text related to communication errors in the game’s multiplayer mode. This means the game’s entire single player campaign and all side content related to it can be enjoyed without any language-related complications!

Version 3.5 adds an alternative patch that restores the US/EU Title Theme (NITRO_KART_BCNJ00_(US_Theme).bps). In addition, the patches have been updated to be in .bps format. There's no reason to re-download this if you're comfortable with the Japanese theme being used in the Main Menu and Title Screen.
