A simplistic 1986 shooter for the SMS. 3 levels ("galaxies") with enemies, power-ups and bosses on an infinite loop; when completed, it repeats all stages with added difficulty.
As a standalone game, Astro Warrior was never released in Europe (with the exception of Portugal); instead, it was bundled with Pit Pot, which had previously been a Japan exclusive. It was also re-released in Brazil and Portugal a decade later, retooled by Tectoy to feature a 1980's Brazilian toy line (something the company would do again with Psycho Fox and numerous other games).
The trivia's more interesting than the game, actually!
