Game Description

Xenogears is a role playing game for the PlayStation.

Translation Description

The patch is created for the Japanese version of Xenogears. The patch will translate the game from Japanese to Chinese.

An additional menu has been created before starting the game, you can view it in the screenshots. The additional menu contains:

Some in-game features have been added into the game:

1) Enemy Encounter Rate Adjustment

[li]No Enemy: Press and hold UP button, then press START button 2 times[/li]
[li]Frequent Encounter: Press and hold DOWN button, then press START button 2 times[/li]
[li]Normal Encounter: Press and hold LEFT button, then press START button 2 times[/li]

2) Viewpoint Function (Can view from top)

[li]Activation: R2[/li]
[li]Adjust Camera Higher: R2+SELECT+O[/li]
[li]Adjust Camera Lower: R2+SELECT+X[/li]

3) Dialog Skipping

There is also a v1.22 beta patch, you can get it here.
This patch has a bug, during Opening CG the ePSXe Emulator will force close because of unexpected error. If still want to use this patch, you will have to load the save state/file that you saved after the Opening CG. Some people said that the v1.22 beta patch is unnecessary since the v1.21 patch is near perfection.

Fun Fact:-

Due to SARS Outbreak in China in 2003, fellow translators were able to concentrate on the translation project because they had been quarantined in their house.
