Game Description |
Final Fantasy V is a role playing game for the Super Nintendo.
The game was released in the States as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology, complete with Ted Woolsey's script that was done before the SNES Square translation was scrapped.
The game is pretty straightforward Final Fantasy, except for the Job System that the characters use. You have a large selection of jobs, and there's no penalty in switching from one job to another (unlike FFIII). Battles earn you points that go towards leveling up these jobs, which give you extra abilities.

Translation Description |
Final Fantasy V - Legend of the Crystals
Legend of the Crystals is an attempt to modernize the now nearly-two-decade-old translation of Final Fantasy V done by the fine folks at RPGe (found here). The authors have received permission from harmony7 and Barubary (two of the team).
As of update 2.1, the font has been redone to more closely resemble Final Fantasy 6(3)'s Chicago font, and the script has now been heavily revised (including many GBA Version lines in cases where nothing better could be thought of) from the top down, and many other visual elements as well, thanks to Noisecross' Final Fantasy 5e Text Editor becoming available, and as well, the Poem of Light at the end is now centered and scrolls correctly, thanks to vivify93 going the extra mile.
No gameplay changes were made to this, so your stats'll work out fine. Take a trip back to December 6, 1992...
