Awesome awesome game. Brilliant brilliant game. You thought Konami was weird when you saw Solid Snake skateboarding? This is weirder. It would be a typical old platformer, except for the fact that you're a penguin. And, your goal is to lose weight to get back in good with your chicky penguin. And all the bad guys? They throw FOOD at you! So you have to avoid the food cause that makes you get fat and die. Haha, it's cool even talking about it.

| Translation Description |
First of all, kalevan made a mistake when updating his patch to version 2. He included two patches, one for the clean Japanese rom, and one for the rom that had already been patched with the version 1 translation. The mistake is, both patches are identical, meaning that unless you have a previously patched Penguin Dream Story rom, you're out of luck. Fortunately I have solved the problem and replaced the IPS in the zip file. A Whirlpool exclusive! Now pengv2.ips will correctly patch an original Japanese rom.
Anyway kalevan says that everything's complete, but that there's still a lot of untranslated stuff if you look at the game with a hex editor or something. So I think this should stay incomplete until we know for sure. |
