Hi, I just finished a run through of your mod. I was immediately hooked by the mod from the simple fact that in combat, characters perform their chosen immediately rather than after all characters have chosen an action, which prevents characters from attacking an empty enemy space (because it was killed by some other character). I'm surprised none of the other FF mods have implemented this!

Anyway, I started my game without doing any research at all into the new classes and had chosen fighter, green mage, and two archers. This party turned out to be quite good because
- fighter: good tank, can use both lazuli and star, very high hp
- green mage: cast spells, mainly ZONA is extremely useful (more on that later)
- archers: the high critical rate of bows makes them extremely effective when enemies cast defensive spells like FOG and RUSE

I liked some of the new spells such as REGEN and of course ZONA. These two spells were the main way I was able to defeat major bosses. I used QUASAR a couple of times in the floating castle, but mostly just used XZONE when I had to eliminate a bunch of enemies in one go. Otherwise I tried to save my level 8 spells for FAST2 (I didn't pick up LIFE2, but in retrospect I probably should have. Instead I had DISPL as well, but basically never used it).

I got into some funny situations with REGEN where a group of enemies (I think wizard giants) killed 3/4 of my characters, where only my fighter with REGEN was left. The fighter's HP kept going up due to REGEN so the enemies couldn't kill him, but also the enemies had casted RUSE and maybe FOG on themselves so my fighter couldn't kill them either. The combat just ran in an infinite loop for a couple of minutes before I had to reload a save state.

The only other issue I faced in combat with non-boss enemies was that for some enemy groups with a lot of members that could cast STUN/GLANCE and maybe some other damage spells, my characters could basically get stunlocked and die immediately without getting a turn. Even in a late stage of the game in the temple of chaos I had to run away from cockatrice/mummy groups for fear they would eliminate my party before I could really do anything. BTW, maybe REMEDY should cure stone?

The addition of the two new areas in the sea (where the archon dragon is, and the ghost ship) were quite interesting. I stumbled upon the archon dragon lair without realizing what it was, and couldn't believe the stats for it when I looked in the documentation in the google doc. After a few failed attempts and gaining a bunch of levels I finally figured out that casting ZONA on all my characters was the optimal way to a) not take damage and b) do a lot of damage back to archon dragon.

I found weapons that had a REGEN effect to be most useful - I gave the POWER staff to the green mage for most of the game. Even though she cast spells a lot, occasionally it was useful to just have her attack and gain HP back. In the temple of chaos I kept running out of HEAL potions until I equipped my team like so:
fighter - lazuli (regen)
green mage - power staff (regen)
archer1 - aurora (but had the source lantern to cast REGEN on themself)
archer2 - cherry (regen)

I only switched the fighter/knight to STAR for the final boss fight with chaos. I ended up finishing the game at level 38, because I kept dying in the temple of chaos. I probably could have finished at somewhere in 35-37 but gaining levels doesn't take that long (turbo mode is awesome).

Overall this mod is very well done. It is way harder than vanilla FF. I was very used to running through vanilla FF without much trouble, but with this mod my team was wiped out like 100 times.

Thank you Manall!

BTW, there are some minor inaccuracies in the maps where treasures are mislabeled (sometimes its the treasure on the left that has some item rather than the right). Not a big deal, and sorry I didn't keep track of what the issues were.
