Posted by LJ40 Wonder if there's any progress on Sakura Wars 2 for Sega Saturn. All we have so far is a translated demo. ____________________ 8-bit is enough. |

Hey everyone! Been enjoying hacks, translations and full conversions since '97. I'm glad RHDN is being preserved and continued. |

I'm Mother Kojiro (she/her); some might know me as Alice Kojiro from my days at Gaming Symmetry. Alice is more of an old stage name than anything, but still fine if you want to use it. I'd love to make rom hacks, but I've always been a better editor than a creator (except in the kitchen); I've done some beta testing and a little sound editing, but my biggest contributions are reviews, so if you know me from the old RHDN, it's probably because of that. I just wanted to say that it's great to see so many familiar faces here; I think this is going to end up being the new place to be for all things rom hacking! |

Hello, epic gamers.
Im Guysons, an ?? Year old person. I never romhacked anything, really, I just see like to appreciate some things I see people doing. My favorite ROM Hack is Final Fantasy IV Ultima. I've played games like Final Fantasy 4, 5, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Doom 1 & 2, Blood and Postal 1 & 2, so I like mostly FPSs and RPGs. ____________________ Sayonara, Gamers! |

Hi! I'm Nova and I'm a homebrew developer. I used to romhack back when I was a teenager, but I ended up wanting to make my own wholly original stuff while still having it work on the consoles I'm passionate about. But I still continue to approach everything from a similar perspective and relate more to romhackers and fan game devs than most homebrew and indie developers, because I'm still just doing everything for fun and passion, where it feels like a lot of other people are really focused on making products and treat things like they're making products. My current main project has a lot of that "used to hack SMW" baked into it with the terminology, how the level editor is a Lunar Magic clone, how the engine features are very SMW-like, how player/level interaction works very much like custom blocks in SMW, etc. It just happens that I fully own the thing I'm making and the code is significantly more efficient than SMW's haha.
But I still think romhacks are really cool (even if I no longer really do them outside of a game balance or accessibility patch here and there). And it's also where most of the community surrounding old console development is, especially on SNES. |

Welcome! I think homebrew is just as interesting as romhacking and I do a little bit of both myself. |

Hi. I'm Galeforce. A Caster class servant with a penchant for romhacks, both playing them and dabbling into editing them. (Though, haven't edited one to a serious extent.)
I used to frequent SMWCentral, but now I'm here. I used to romhack Super Mario World, and a little bit of Fire Emblem. My romhacking days have mostly been over though. I just don't have the free time nor motivation to dabble into the coding anymore. But I really do enjoy playing romhacks any chance I get. Right now, I'm just messing around in SM64 Coop DX with my friends and I hella do enjoy my time there. Looking forward to seeing what I can find here. |
