This is an old 60Hz patch (selector screen) for the PAL release of Dolphin's Dream (Diver's Dream) originally only released in Japan and Europe. The patch makes it possible to play this game in English and 60Hz on real hardware as well as emulation.
Press O at the selector screen to load the game in 60Hz mode.
The game will play at the exact original Japanese game speed. No sped up or slowed down gameplay or music. Timings were also verified by comparing the time of various timers and countdowns in-game.
It's preferable to use these older selector patches over general 60Hz patchers like zapper2k, as zapper2k patching is hit or miss and can cause loading bugs or crashes at different points in the game.
Credit to Paradox (iMPULSE & SiNNER) for the original patch, this was an old command-line patch from 1999. The patch has instead been converted into the more common .bps format for accessibility. |
