NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

SMA2 Micro-hack: The Return to Dinosaurland
Hack of Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
Description
Super Mario Advance 2 is an amazing game. In the past, people only made modifications to the SNES version of the game while ignoring the GBA version, because the GBA does not have a sound chip as good as the one in the SNES. After 3 years of research, oquendo has come to the conclusion that SMA2 has a lot of potential, because it is better optimized than the original SMW.

If you want, you can see the SMA2 hacking notes here: https://www.romhacking.net/documents/856/

So this hack was made using smallhacker's transplant tool, Lunar Magic, a little bit of hex editing and a lot of time. It only modifies the first 6 levels of the game and the intro cutscene, and is compatible with Asaki’s ‘SMA2 - Super Mario World Color Restoration‘ patch as well as Weario's ‘Super Mario Advance 2 - Instrument Restoration‘ hack.

In the future, oquendo wishes to make more hacks like this. He is also very grateful to his friends in the Discord community for helping with creative ideas and research.
