"Ninja Ryukenden III"... Interesting gameplay, storyline with cutscenes in each stage and great music! The hack adds to all of these an ability to choose 1 of 5 difficulties to play and changes the "super sword" mechanics a little. Also, a new menu option was added -- the "BGM test"!
- Choose difficulty level (which determines the multiplier of enemies' damage) in the main menu using the "right-left" buttons;
- The password system remained intact - so you can choose "difficulty" - and then enter a password;
- To use the sword's SuperSlash attack now it's not enough to just take the "sword" upgrade item - you'll have to simultaneously press "B + right" or "left" (actually, you have to press directional button a bit earlier and you have a 3-frame gap for an attack button press). Note that in the air you can execute frontal SuperSlash using either "forward" or "back" button;
- Timer was made almost 2 times slower;
- The spikes and electricity are deadlier up to "instant death" on higher difficulties;
- The level 5 boss-room changed a little - to make this plain boss more interesting;
- Fixed an issue of the original with non-damaging falling enemies on boss 6;
- In "BGM-test" mode, use Start or A buttons to play the next track, B button for the previous. |
