The DS version of Dragon Quest IV had the party chat removed for it's western release. This patch adds that back in using text from the mobile port of the game, which did include the translated party chat text.
Since this includes all the missing text from the original DS version, this should be the definitive way to play the game.
This patch can be used only on the JP version of the game. If you want to patch the US version, you will need my US patch. Though they modify different versions of the game, the end result will be the same.
There are caveats with concrete_d's original patching process. Character name entry will still be in Japanese. For a full list of known issues, check concrete_d's GitHub. |
