NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

Final Fantasy IV Advance Color Improvement and Restoration
Hack of Final Fantasy IV Advance
Description
Though far from the only flaw with the game, Final Fantasy IV Advance sports (in my opinion) a rather unsightly color palette, with sprites that bleed colors and backgrounds which are entirely too bright, due to the Game Boy Advance's hardware, but also somehow rather dull. This patch, in essence, addresses this issue with a color palette inspired or taken from the original Super Nintendo / Super Famicom game, Final Fantasy IV. Every character, town, dungeon, battle background, enemy, cut scene and effect possible has been gone over with a fine tooth comb in order to produce the best looking Final Fantasy IV Advance possible! This patch was produced using the European ROM of the game - Final Fantasy IV Advance (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It).gba - it is untested with other versions of the game, or other ROMhacks associated with that version. Simply apply this patch to a ROM, and you're ready to go.

UPDATE 09/04/22: Due to an oversight, child Rydia's skin tone is a shade too dark! This has been corrected, and also implemented some sprite changes suggested and/or inspired by FlamePurge.
