Description |
Final Fantasy VI Expanded aims to expand on the game with new story content organically integrated into the vanilla game.
Chief among these is that characters now have unique dialogue in circumstances where the party used "generic" dialogue before, particularly in the World of Ruin's character recruitment events, and other story events as well, such as Strago having a more detailed account of the history of the Ancient Castle.
New conversations with NPCs have been added, including Sabin reconciling with Figaro's Matron, Terra asking Gestahl about her mother after the imperial banquet, Cid marveling at the Blackjack, and more.
The library of Figaro Castle now has books on the shelves that can be read, which each give a little bit of background on the setting and foreshadow future plot developments. These books were written using content taken from official source materials like Ultimania guides, etc.
Finally, after viewing all of Shadow's dreams, resting in the inn in Thamasa will trigger a new scene where Strago confronts Shadow over suspicions of his true identity, as the developers have said was intended but not implemented.
Specific information on all the new content and how to find it is included in the Read Me file. |
