NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

"MOTHER 4"
Hack of EarthBound
Description
This hack is a "sequel" to EarthBound created by Polinym in honor of April Fool's Day as 2022's annual EarthBound "fun times" hack. The theme for this was, "The Worst EarthBound Hack Ever Made". It was designed to be a humorous troll hack that follows the events of the previous game in the most absurd way possible. Of course, this wasn't built as a "one-and-done" fake hack. This is a complete (albeit on the shorter side) adventure that rewards players for playing cleverly and not falling for the trolls. It should play for about the same length as games like Luigi's Mansion or Kirby Super Star. Especially skilled players could potentially beat the game in a few minutes.

This hack contains a feature known as "Adaptive Troll Difficulty", which causes some of the player's abilities to randomly stop working if the game is played over a long time. To protect yourself, save often! The "Calling Fone" item allows Nest to save his game at any time, anywhere.

The plot is as follows:

Giygas is back! The hero of the previous game, Nest, has had his bike stolen. Who could be behind this sinister plot? How will Nest and his old friends stop the alien invasion one more time? The bizarre truth can only be found in... "MOTHER 4".
