Description
MARIO’S KEEP CO-OP
by NesDraug (and w7n)
Two player hack by Corpse Grinder & Ti.

DESCRIPTION

This is a puzzler. A hack which requires tricky jumps, but not totally glitch abusing skills to pass. You have to figure out the sequence of the rooms, rescue the princess and find all 9 floors.


You start with 50 lives! Remember to use A+Start on the title screen if you die.
When you beat the game you will be able to choose world with the B button.


HINT: It's not always good to be big, sometimes you might need to take a hit.




PATCH

Choose the ips file to patch Super Mario Bros. (W) [!] -- use Lunar IPS, WinIPS or MultiPatch or similar tools to patch.



CHEATS

If you would like to cheat there is a World Selector patch called "SMB Two Players Hack World Selector"
Search among NesDraug's other hacks to find it and apply it to the Mario's Keep CO-OP ".nes" file you've already created.




HISTORY

This hack is based on a project started by w7n. The abandoned hack featured 3 levels and the finished hack features new graphics, altered game mechanics, different music and a total of 25 levels.

DIFFERENCES FROM THE SINGLE PLAYER VERSION

This co-op version differs from the original single player version of this hack. Some of the changes were deliberate to make the game possible to finish with two players. Other changes were simply a bi product of using the two player hack (mainly underwater levels and lack of scrolling levels).
