NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

Improved Equipment Stat Viewing
Hack of Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls
Description
One of the biggest problems the new equipment in Dawn of Souls had was that some weapons had properties that were hidden from the player. Murasame casts Protect. Lightbringer casts Holy. Rune Axe casts Curaga.

But all it tells you when you select the equipment in question is who can use it. Well that's great. But what about the resistances of Genji Armor? What's the critical hit rate of a Kikuichimonji? Is the Rune Sword better or worse than the Great Sword?

This patch fixes those questions (mostly). It will show resistances of armor and show the benefits of each weapon. So the Lightbringer's stat buffs, the fact that it casts Holy and all of it's attacking stats are all shown for you to decide that yes it is the best weapon your Red Wizard can equip.

What it does not show is the hidden stuff like Rune Axe doing guaranteed critical hits for 25MP, Orichalcum absorbing damage, Red Jacket blocking fire element entirely, Sage's Staff buffing Holy damage, Angel Ring healing 10% max HP at the end of the turn, Ultima Weapon's variable damage based on current HP, Elven Cloak having a chance to evade attacks randomly, possibly one or two others.

This patch works well with other patches.
