NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

Penguin Land NES
Hack of Duck Maze
Description
Sega's classic Doki Doki Penguin Land is ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System. Well, sort of. This is actually a graphics hack for the unlicensed clone Duck Maze. (Proper versions of Penguin Land appeared on three Sega systems and Game Boy.)

Welcome to Penguin Land, in the vast and frozen Antarctic. Meet Commander Adelie Overbite. He's just a penguin in love with a delivery to make. He's a clever and persistent penguin but that's not enough to get his precious egg back safely to his wife at home. He needs your help and ingenuity to get through 20 mindboggling mazes.

Your journey will take you deep underground into mysterious caverns where dangerous animals await to attack and destroy your eggs. Beware of hidden dangers and traps. Beware the egg-stealing fox, and the deadly polar bears of the Gangow Gang.

Guide your egg down to your underground home by moving and destroying blocks. Don't let the fragile egg fall! Start your adventure in level 1 and challenge your way through. Or if you're feeling dangerous, skip straight to a higher level. But be careful not to crack up, because you can't be a hero with egg on your face. For one or two players.
