This is the beta release of a project that was brought about by this thread on the forums, suggesting making it possible to exit the Sky Tower and continue exploring the world once claiming Crystalis. This patch is fully functional from a programming standpoint, but has unpolished graphics associated with behavior that was not intended by the developers.
The author no longer has the time or experience to work on this project, and as such, the graphics will remain in their current state unless picked up by another romhacker. It is the author's hope that someone gives this project the proper finish it deserves some day.
Things Changed:
[list][li]The Sky Tower no longer blocks you into the upper floors, allowing you to descend and fight the robots once again.[/li]
[li]It is now possible to teleport out of the Sky Tower by touching the crystal in the first room.[/li]
[li]The emperor boss in the pyramid does not respawn after defeating him if you return to his room.[/li]
[li]Crystalis reacts with all ice bridges and breakable walls in the game.[/li]
[li]Crystalis works on all enemies in the game.[/li]
[li]Crystalis' projectiles now work in all maps in the game as it does in the final boss battle.[/li][/list]
Unfinished:
[list][li]Graphics for Crystalis projects fired in any non-up direction are buggy.[/li]
[li]Particle effects for killing monsters or making ice bridges or breaking walls is buggy; needs to be programmed to use existing particles from another elemental sword.[/li]
[li]Pending the above listed to-do items, entire patch was intended to be modified for a copy compatible with the JP version of the game.[/li]
Notes regarding changed addresses and what effects they have can be provided upon request to author via forum PM. If you would like to pick up this project, please send a message and the author will provide resources to facilitate its completion.
