Description |
Kirby's Adventure is a relatively colorful game, and the regular game does have two debug rooms that are normally inaccessible during normal play. This small ROM hack replaces the mini-game doors in the overworld with doors leading to the debug rooms (if there were more than two minigames in each overworld map, the remaining minigames have been removed and replaced by terrain.)
A description of the two debug rooms:
Debug room 1 (room 007):
A multilevel hub. Doors 1-7 lead to their corresponding overworld maps. Door 8 doesn't work.
Debug room 2 (room 0A8):
The main debug room! The door at the top leads to the aforementioned multilevel hub.
The 1st door at the bottom leads to the Fountain of Dreams copy, used after the credits have ended. The ending music plays here. No way out of this room without resetting the game.
The 2nd door leads to former Meta Knight boss battle testing rooms.
The 3rd door leads to (surprise!) the room from the game tutorial. Strangely, the boss theme plays here.
The 4th door leads to a really cool hammer stake/laser puzzle. May have been for testing the hammer/laser behavior. Strangely, the boss theme plays here, too, just like the tutorial room! Both the door in the room and the cannon lead to another room. This room is also likely for testing hammer stake behavior. There was supposed to be a maxim tomato or 1up or *something* in there... hmmm.
Anyway, the 5th door leads to multiple miniboss test rooms. Notice that you can go through the exit door before the miniboss has been defeated. These rooms actually contain the *harder* versions of the regular minibosses.

Anyways, the 6th and 7th doors don't work! Strange!
None of the debug rooms have been modified at all.
(This is my first ROMhacking.net post, so expect it not to be very good!)
