NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

Resident Evil Classic REbirth
Hack of Resident Evil
Description
This extensive hack of Biohazard/Resident Evil for PC, coming in the form of a simple drag&drop DLL, includes the following features:
- Removes the need for Win95/98 compatibility mode.
- Fixes the framerate to a consistent 30/60 fps.
- Translates the Japanese executable to English.
- Forces the game to run in 32 bits both for the display area and textures.
- Adds XInput/RawInput/DirectInput support to replace the old WinMM legacy module. Includes d-pad and trigger button support.
- Adds support for resolutions beyond 640×480 and also adds borderless fullscreen mode if you desktop resolution is below or equal to 2560×1440. Press F8 to cycle through them.
- Fixes bugs with some AMD cards being unable to start the game.
- Adds support for modding via archives and DLLs that can be used to change game behavior.
- Adds some debug features to assist with modding.

The DLL requires an untampered Japanese exe of version 1.01 (dubbed Mediakite reprint), otherwise it will display a warning message and none of the features above will be available.
