| Description |
This hack replaces the fictional gun names for their real-world names. Name changes take effect everywhere, on the HUD during gameplay as well as on the dossier menu that describes each weapon. Each gun in the game was very carefully researched to make sure that the correct real-world name for it was applied. The stunner has also been renamed to "taser" and the trip bomb to "trip mine."
In cases where a weapon did not match any real-world example, the name was left alone. In the case of the dart gun, which uses the model of a real target practice pistol that fires lead bullets, the name was changed to the real name with "-D" added on the end for "Dart."
Installation:
1. Open your game Nightfire ISO using GCRebuilder (supplied with the hack download)
2. Expand the folder called "Common"
3. Right-click the file called "USATxt.dat" and click Import
4. Navigate to the USAtxt.dat file supplied with the hack and click Open
5. After "Done" appears click Save Changes in GCREbuilder
6. Load the Nightfire ISO in Dolphin, Nintendont on your Wii/Wii U, or modded Gamecube. |
