Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Return to New York is a rebalance and remaster to the original TMNT game released in 1989. Renowned for it's difficulty, inconsistent gameplay, and a very overpowered Donatello, the old game manual reveals a story loosely based on the 1980's cartoon "Shredder and Splintered," in which the Shredder has a retromutagen gun that could turn Splinter back to human, but also the TMNT back to normal turtles.
The main goal of this game is to give each turtle a different set of abilities to encourage use of the whole team in different situations throughout the game. Some gameplay elements have been added to facilitate this. Also, the story and setting of the game has been enhanced as much as possible.
