Sonic 2: Sweet Relief
Hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Description
This is a hack which adds rings to the third act of levels in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Master System. This makes bosses somewhat easier as the player can take a few hits before dying. The hack also has the following changes:

[li]3-digit ring counter. Finally when collecting over 100 rings the counter won't reset to zero.[/li]
[li]2-digit life counter. The lives never maxed at 9 lives but only 9 would be shown. This hack fixes that and adds a second digit to show lives going over 9.[/li]
[li]10-ring monitors now give an extra life if 90-99 rings is on the counter.[/li]
[li]Arrow monitor. Works the same as in Sonic the Hedgehog for 8-bit systems. If the player dies after breaking one of these they will restart at the spot of the last Arrow Monitor broken when they die.[/li]
