NeoRHDN - Hacks - Hack Information

Control a NOOB
Hack of Mortal Kombat 3
Description
This hack enables Noob Saibot as a playable character. He is unique in this game as he is a darkly colored Kano with his combos and no special moves. He also moves faster.

There are two ways to access him, a normal way that's 2-Player only and a alternate method that works in 1-Player mode. In 2-Player mode Noob is rotated in the same character selection slot as Smoke and the bosses.

Another way to access Noob Saibot is by holding Select before the start of a round while using Kano. This method works when anyone uses Kano so if both characters are using Kano or the CPU is using Kano they will also be changed to Noob. As with the bosses, the Vs screen is disabled in 2-Player mode. If using Noob in 1-Player mode there is no fighter tower pic and no ending as this hack was originally made with multiplayer in mind.

This has only been tested on the GoodSNES verified ROM dump of the US version (the one whose ROM name is Mortal Kombat 3 R2.1). Other versions have been untested. As with many SNES hacks, a header is required.

ASM commentary is included. Also a combo list can be found in the readme. Note that Noob will always be on his hidden stage. This is noticeable with Shao Kahn and Motaro in 1 player mode as they usually have a specific stage they are fought on.
