Game Description
Brandish 2: The Planet Buster is a direct sequel to the first Brandish game. The first game's PSP remake, Brandish: The Dark Revenant, was localized in 2015.

After ascending through the ruins of Vittoria, Ares wanders through the desert of the kingdom of Bundevia. Its king, Badorrer, dispatches a group of cavaliers in an attempt to steal the Planet Buster, the legendary sword found Ares found in the Vittoric ruins. Ares tries to put up a fight, but succumbs to the desert's intense heat. When he comes to, he finds himself imprisoned...

Brandish 2: The Planet Buster is a top-down action RPG. The camera is always positioned behind Ares, providing an immersive dungeon-crawling experience. The areas come with brain-wracking puzzles, plenty of (slightly visible) pitfalls and other mechanics that punish inattention and carelessness. With its deep gameplay, beautiful pixel art during cutscenes and a superb soundtrack by the celebrated Falcom Sound Team jdk, Brandish 2 was ahead of its time when it released in 1993.

Recommended for dungeon-crawling fans. Fans of what is now known as the Soulsborne genre would also do well to give the game a try.
