Game Description
For the most part, the PSP version of FF1 is the same as the GBA (including the revision of the magic system to a more modern MP-based one and the removal of Origins' normal difficulty) but with a graphical facelift, a better soundtrack, the art gallery and FMVs featured in Final Fantasy Origins, and an additional new bonus dungeon. Oddly enough, this and FF2 were sold separately. Most players either chose this or the aforementioned Origins as their favorite.

Anniversary Edition would later be the base of the mobile editions, though both iOS and Android would lose some of it's content (probably due to the fact that FF 1 and 2 were Square-Enix's first entries on the platform). It was however, re-released in its entirety on PSN as well as the 3DS with enhanced 3D graphics.

If you don't mind the tradeoff of an easier game for more postgame content, or if what you normally read about FF1 sounds daunting, this is most likely the version for you to start with.
