Game Description |
Don't be fooled; this is actually a fairly watered down port of Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. This pirate is solid for a pirate but there are only six levels which is disappointing considering the original was much longer.
The music decently ports many of the original SNES themes well.
The graphics are solid because it imports the original graphics by reducing the quality. Some sprites were shrunken down to prevent a lot of flickering.
The controls are like the original but a bit more restrictive and slippery. Pressing the D-pad makes your character go really far, therefore this is not a game for precision platforming.
You can play the game for curiosity sake. It's a novelty to see s SNES game on the NES but over time, it just makes you wish you were playing the original.
