This is a large compilation of all of the knowledge I gained from my work and hacking on the NES port of 1943: The Battle of Midway. It contains full descriptions of color palettes, cutscene/image info, and previously undocumented information on text editing for this game.

I hope this helps any hacker out there daunted by the prospect of making changes to this rarely hacked game!

NOTE: This document is marked as intermediate based on the Text Editing section of the process.

PS - Some text editing information gained from http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Games/Hacking/Wiki/index.php/1943:_The_Battle_of_Midway, however there are new descriptions of editing some text that has never been publicly shared before.
